WHAT HAPPENED?
Huijsen joined Bournemouth from Juventus in the summer of 2024 for a fee that could rise to €18 million (£15m). The young defender has enjoyed a stellar campaign in the Premier League, having appeared in 22 matches across all competitions for the Cherries. He has played a major role in the club fighting for a top-four spot this season. They are currently one point behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

The youngster is being closely followed by European giants like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea and according to Fabrizio Romano, Huijsen has a £50m release clause in his existing deal which will become active in the upcoming summer transfer window.
